Nimue

€75.00
Sold Out

In King Arthur mythology, Nimue (pronounced nim-way) was the name given to The Lady of the Lake, or more accurately, she was one of the Ladies of the Lake. Sometimes seen as a Celtic goddess, other times viewed as a magical sorceress, Nimue was said to possess the power to bewitch a sorcerer. She is also said to be the one to give King Arthur his sword, Excalibur. While different mythologies and perspectives bestow upon her different attributes, one thing is clear: this enchantress is pure magic.

This double-stoned amulet evokes Nimue’s connection to water, as well as her mysterious power. A spectacular teardrop ocean jasper stone is set in copper wire, and above that sits a strong hematite stone. Both are adorned with swirls and spirals, as well as copper beads.

Ocean Jasper is distinguished by it’s orb-shaped markings in greens, blues, and browns. Much like water itself, this magical stone helps its wearer go with the flow. Hematite is said to possess grounding and protective properties.

The pendant measures approximately 3.25 inches tall and .75 inches wide. The pendant hangs from a delicate copper alloy chain that measures approximately 16 inches long, with a 3.5-inch extender chain.

This piece is wrapped in bare copper wire, then carefully antiqued by hand and polished to bring out the organic highlights and lowlights of the beautiful metal.
