Jewelry Care Instructions
All of the jewelry in my shop is unique and hand-crafted. Due to the nature of handcrafting, available supplies, and the varied nature of crystals and stones, pieces may vary slightly in detail from those photographed here.
It is perfectly natural and normal for crystals, stones, and organic materials to have some imperfections & variations in tone.
It is natural for many metals, especially copper, to darken over time with oxidation.
Your jewelry can be gently polished with a dry non-abrasive jewelry polishing cloth.
This jewelry is delicate & should be treated with care. Never drop these pieces.
Please avoid getting these pieces wet. Never wear them in the shower, tub, or pool. Do not expose your jewelry to chemicals or other liquids.
Excess perspiration and some body products may affect your piece. Do not wear during exercise. Remove before sleeping.
Personal care items, such as lotions and perfume, may affect your piece as well, so use care with what comes in contact with the metals and stones.
Store in a dry location. For necklaces, it’s best to store them hanging up or laying flat, to avoid tangling.
My copper jewelry is made with bare copper wire, then carefully antiqued by hand and polished to bring out the organic highlights and lowlights of the metal. You can gently polish your piece with a non-abrasive jewelry cloth approximately once a month to keep it shiny and from darkening further, if you like.
My copper wire bracelets are designed with a slight flexibility in order to get each bracelet on and off easily. However, it's important to be gentle and only bend your bracelet slightly while putting it on. Never bend with force, over-bend, or attempt to straighten out the bracelet, as this can damage or break the copper wire.
If you have any questions about the care of your piece, please feel free to contact me. I hope you love your new jewelry!
