Amunet

€75.00
Sold Out

Amunet is the name of a Primordial Egyptian Goddess. Also known as “The Hidden One”, she is said to predate the beginning of creation. Her mythology further associates her with protection, healing, and regeneration. As I was creating this pendant, I felt like I had an ancient Egyptian relic in my hands, and so I offer this one up in celebration of Amunet.

This piece features a round carnelian gemstone set in hand-hammered antiqued copper. The focal stone is accented by a triangular goldstone cabochon above and a deep red India Agate bead below. The amulet is further adorned with curls, swirls, and copper beads.

Carnelian gemstone is a deep orangey-red with some translucence. Carnelian is said to be an energizing crystal, igniting your inner fires to help you achieve your goals and desires. The Ancient Egyptians referred to it as the sunset stone, capturing the energy of the sun and imbuing its wearer with the sun’s power.

The pendant hangs from a copper alloy chain that is 19-inches long at its longest point, adjustable smaller to any link. The chain is further embellished with carnelian and goldstone beads. Suspended from the chain is another goldstone bead that cascades dramatically down the back of the neck when worn.

The pendant is approximately 2.75 inches tall and 1 inch wide. This piece is wrapped in copper wire, then carefully antiqued by hand and polished to bring out the organic highlights and lowlights of the beautiful metal.
