Happy New Year, Magical Folks!Welcome to 2025, a date that for most of us always sounded like a distant futuristic dream, with robots and spaceships for all. Well, now we are living it! Perhaps minus the spaceships and robots, though (okay, just the vacuum variety). Either way, 2025 sure is a big number, and a nice round number. And for me personally, it will be the year that I turn 50! I still feel like a teenager inside, so bring it on, I say. I hope you all had a wonderful holiday season, full of merry-making, snow, and yummy treats. The new year is a great time for intention setting and new beginnings. The word that springs to mind for me is: Metamorphosis. Perhaps this is also in part because for the last few months, I have had a magical new houseguest: a Peacock Butterfly named Renee! She moved in of her own accord and has left and come back several times. She seems to want to spend her Winter season here with me. She sleeps a lot, but also wakes up and flies around, often landing on me and crawling up my arm to nuzzle in my hair. I carry her around and feed her sugar water. It’s a magical friendship. I will share a few pics of her below, but stay tuned as I will post some videos of her antics on my Instagram and TikTok sometime in the near future. In my workshop, I have been finishing some new projects and custom pieces, as well as doing lots of tidying and organization. I promise to have some exciting new creations for you very soon.
