It’s Practically Magic…This month has been filled with astrological activity and strange weather! On 8/8, we had the Lion’s Gate Portal, an annual astrological event in which the star Sirius aligns with the Sun, Orion, and Earth, amplifying metaphysical energy. Then, on August 12, we experienced a rare solar eclipse visible throughout much of Europe. Here in Munich, the eclipse had about 88.8% visible coverage (I’m loving all these 8s). We took to the streets that evening and chased the sun until it set. It was magical! A few of my eclipse photos are below. Next, we have a lunar eclipse on August 28. It’s been very, very hot here, and there is a severe drought, yet I still try to get out in nature as much as I can. As demonstrated both above and below, my Summer Sunday bike adventures have yielded even more photos of gorgeous local flowers. The scenery is beautiful, but I find myself more than ready for Autumn. And speaking of that, next month the long- awaited Practical Magic 2 movie will be out in theaters! There are not enough words in the English (or German) language to express how excited I am for this! For a while now, I had thought about doing a redesign of my previous popular Practical Magic necklaces. And I am pleased to announce that it is finally finished and available for purchase! This was a real labor of love, as it utilizes my newer soldering skills, in combination with wire wrapping and beading, in an earthy and witchy design.
